Black History Month STEAM & Paint at Laurelton Library

Lewis Latimer House Museum will be hosting a kid-friendly painting celebration paying homage to Lewis Latimer’s love for art and circuitry. Using blacklights, families will follow along with the artist's instructions to create an illuminating canvas piece of the carbon filament lightbulb. Families are also encouraged to incorporate personal storytelling through their pieces. In the end, participants will view their creations in the dark under a blacklight to see how they come to life and shine.

Thank you to District 31, Council Member Selvena N. Brooks-Powers for sponsoring this event.
