S.T.E.A.M Saturday - Building Justice: Lego Printmaking

  • Lewis Latimer House Museum 34-41 137th Street Queens, NY, 11354 United States (map)

Celebrate National Fair Housing Month and Earth Day at the Lewis Latimer House through graphic design and Lego printmaking!

Join us to create public awareness posters that communicate the intersections between fair housing and environmental activism.

This STEAM Saturday workshop will feature the artwork of Lewis Latimer's daughter, Rebecca Louise, who created graphic design for W.E.B. Dubois’ The Crisis magazine and opened the Latimer home to students and artists in need.

Participants will also have a chance to learn about local initiatives and assistance surrounding fair and just housing in Queens!

STEAM Saturdays at LLH are free events, open to all ages and abilities, that feature a hands-on activity, a family-friendly scavenger hunt, and self-guided tours. Drop in any time between 12PM - 4PM! Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
