Join us for a weaving workshop using found materials from nature!

Assemblage is the art of assembling found materials to make 3-dimensional art. Now that the days are getting warmer and the leaves and flowers are all starting to bloom let’s make some assemblage art using objects we find in nature! Nature weaving is a fun and accessible craft because you can use any cardboard that you already have along with flowers, plants, and any natural materials you can find outside. Get creative and make fantastic assemblage sculptures with Latimer House for spring!

Please have the following materials available:

  • Cardboard
  • Yarn or twine
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Flowers, leaves, grass, small sticks or twigs, feathers, moss, hay, and anything else that you find in nature that you think might be fun to work with.

Ages 7 and above, Families welcome.
